This series was made on the territory of an old shipyard in Odesa, which turned into a space for artists, activists, and those in search of freedom. With the start of the full-scale war, the place changed some people left, some stayed. SRZ-2 seemed to freeze, but in the summer of 2023, it came alive again. People returned. A sense of community reappeared.
This series is part of my personal search for balance during wartime. It wasn’t created under any conceptual pressure more like a visual diary, capturing moments of stillness, bodies, quiet presence. These images carry freedom in chaos, raw tenderness, everyday beauty. SRZ-2 became a home for me just before I had to leave.
